About Jennifer

Maven Media Strategies founder Jennifer Wlach works with clients across a host of issue areas, including healthcare, technology, finance, infrastructure, and education. In addition to her work in public affairs and media strategy, Jen specializes in executive consulting and thought leadership, working to identify and amplify the voices of key opinion leaders on the global stage.

Prior to launching Maven, Jen was a partner at Mercury Public Affairs. During her ten years at Mercury, she helped build the media and thought leadership practices at the firm, led many multi-year campaigns, and supported IPOs and several fundraising rounds for clients. The breadth and depth of her portfolio provided extensive experience that allow her to succeed for clients in any industry. Her proudest professional accomplishment was managing global media coverage of the 2018 March for Our Lives rally in Washington, DC.

Jen spent a decade as a producer and booker in network television news. She spent the majority of her journalism career with ABC News, leading the political booking effort for Good Morning America for the 2010 and 2012 elections, in addition to covering major breaking news across the country. Jen honed her skills in long-form storytelling as a producer for the HDNet news magazine program World Report, crafting feature pieces on critical domestic and international issues. She got her start in media on the assignment desk at WTVD, the local ABC affiliate in Raleigh-Durham, NC.

Jen received her B.A. in Public Policy Studies from Duke University. A native New Yorker, Jen now lives in San Francisco.
